Repository Type The repository type specifies fundamental operation of the given repository. Currently, an Archive Repository is the only type of repository recognized by the Package Installer. What type of repository are you creating? (options: Archive Repository) Product Name Each repository has a name which is used to identify your respository when it is first added to a user's list of available repositories. Your repository name should not exceed 50 characters for diplay aesthetics. What is the full name of this repository? Repository Location Specify the URL at which your repository will be located, once it is made available. This may be a local directory, or an internet location. What is the URL location of the repository? Maintainer's Home Page If the maintainer, company or organization has a web site, graphical package installers can redirect users to the web site for more information about the repository they have selected. What is the maintainer's web page URL? Maintainer Email If you have an email address allowing questions for the maintainer, various package utilities can extract this and make it available to users. What is the maintainer's email address? Index File An index file lists all files within the repository in a single file. This file is also contained in the content.tgz file (if present), to speed up the Package Installer when it attempts to determine what packages are in the repository. This file is usually simply called index. What is the index file for this repository? Small Repository Icon By specifying a small icon for this repository, the package installer can display your specific icon (rather than the default repository icon) with information about your repository. What is the URL for this repository's small icon? Large Repository Icon By specifying a large icon for this repository, the package installer can display your specific icon (rather than the default repository icon) with information about your repository. What is the URL for this repository's large icon? Repository Summary A short description of the repository is a brief text string used to further identify the contents or purpose of your repository. What is the short description of this repository? Repository Description A long description of the repository is a text summary of the packages contained within the repository. In the QNX Package Installer, the long text description is shown if an embedded web page is unavailable for the repository. What is the long description of this repository? (full multi-line description) Repository Embedded Web Page The QNX Package Installer allows you to embed web pages along the right side of the repository window. When a user selects your repository, they have the opportunity to see a page describing the repository. This embedded web page is 290 pixels wide and may be resized as tall as necessary. What is the embedded repository's web page URL? Advertising Banner If you, your company or organization has an advertising banner, graphical package installers can display that banner while packages are downloading from your repository. If you include a $QNXPKGS constant in the URL, the Package Installer will replace it with the name of the package being downloaded. What is the advertising web page URL?
