VxWorks-to-QNX Porting Guide Proves Popular Among Wind River Customers

Meeting the demand for customers who wish to migrate from the Wind River VxWorks operating system, the VxWorks-to-QNX porting guide has proven to be an increasingly popular developer's tool.

Traditional embedded systems, with their static, single-purpose design, were once adequately serviced by the realtime executive architecture of the VxWorks operating system. But with the increasing complexity of today's embedded applications, coupled with high expectations for reliability and serviceability, developers require a more advanced and flexible realtime operating system (RTOS).

Did you know:

  • Launched only one year ago, VxWorks-to-QNX porting guide is the most popular tool downloaded from QNX website
  • Development teams at almost 1,000 companies have taken the first step to making the switch to QNX
  • The porting guide is available free from www.qnx.com

Archived Web Seminar: Designing Hard Drive and Flash Memory Based Multimedia Systems

The next generation of high-performance multimedia systems calls for a design that will enable advanced networking, storage and playback functionality. The use of hard drive and flash memory based systems delivers multimedia and filesystem technologies that meet the progressive requirements of radio, navigation, entertainment, and other media-enabled systems. QNX Software Systems, Renesas Technology, and Simple Devices come together for this web seminar to discuss a framework to implement a hard drive based multimedia system.
