The new QNX Neutrino Multi-Core Technology Development Kit (TDK) is the only commercial solution that addresses all challenges of multi-core design. AWARD:

Alain Magloire of QNX Software Systems Wins Eclipse Award for Top Committer

Alain Magloire was recently named a winner of an Eclipse Community Award as the Top Committer for his contributions to the Eclipse Foundation’s CDT Project, the successful and fast-growing open source project for C and C++ development. Magloire, a software developer in the QNX development tools group, was selected by his peers for the work he has done with the CDT community, a project he has worked with since its inception.

QNX Introduces Support for DaVinci™ Technology from Texas Instruments

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) and QNX Software Systems recently announced their collaboration to enhance the development of digital audio and video applications for the embedded market, including QNX’s support for TI’s DaVinci™ technology. The combination of TI’s technology and the realtime performance and reliability of the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS will enhance the development and integration of digital audio and video for embedded products in a variety of markets, including automotive infotainment, consumer electronics, in-flight entertainment, industrial automation, and medical technology.

QNX Introduces Multi-Core Expedite Program for Intel Hardware

QNX Software Systems and Intel is introducing the new Multi-Core Expedite Program, through which QNX customers get early access to multi-core hardware and software platforms to start evaluating and prototyping multi-core systems. Under the new program, qualifying members will receive 120-day evaluations of the industry’s most advanced multi-core offerings.

Eclipse Continues Momentum in Device and Embedded Software Development with New Open Source Project Initiatives

The Eclipse Foundation recently announced new project initiatives and releases for the Device Software Development Platform (DSDP) and C/C++ Development Tools (CDT) Projects, both increasingly popular with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors of real-time operating systems (RTOSs), software development tools, and electronic design automation (EDA) tools. These new initiatives further extend the Eclipse ecosystem into the embedded and device software market.

Objectives: This course is designed for anyone who develops QNX Neutrino® RTOS realtime applications. By the end of the course, you will have written several example programs and learned to apply QNX Neutrino RTOS concepts to real-world applications.

  1. Familiarize the developer with the features, services, and architecture of the QNX Neutrino RTOS.
  2. Focus on real-world problems and the techniques for solving them.
  3. Provide hands-on exercises so the developer can learn to apply the concepts introduced throughout the course.

Developing, Debugging and Analyzing Performance with the QNX Momentics IDE

Prerequisites: You must have a good working knowledge of C or C++ and a general understanding of programming under the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS.

Objectives: To learn how to use the IDE in the QNX Momentics® to:

  1. develop your applications
  2. debug complex problems
  3. analyze performance issues of complete systems

By the end of the course, you will have used the IDE to work with many sample programs and systems, either self-hosted or using cross development, and will have learned to apply these skills to real-world applications.

Writing Drivers for the QNX Neutrino RTOS

Prerequisites: You must have a good working knowledge of C and a general understanding of programming under the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS.

Objectives: This course is designed for anyone who wants to develop drivers for the QNX Neutrino RTOS. By the end of the course, you will have written several sample drivers.

  1. Familiarize the developer with the methods for writing different types of drivers under the QNX Neutrino RTOS.
  2. Focus on real-world problems and the techniques for solving them.
  3. Provide hands-on exercises so the developer can apply the concepts introduced in the course.
