RTOS Performance Webcast

What difference does real-time performance make in the presence of Moore's Law? Embedded systems designers are discovering that increased processing power doesn't guarantee predictable performance. Inconsistent results are a problem at any speed - especially in systems where complexity, cost, and restricted environments are a factor.

In this online webcast, senior QNX product manager Steve Furr examines how a microkernel realtime operating system can enable consistent, reliable and fast performance - even in complex systems. Mr. Furr is joined by Martin Timmerman, president of Dedicated Systems Experts, who discusses the methodology behind his company's RTOS test suite and the results from recent evaluations that gave the QNX Neutrino RTOS the highest ranking among four leading operating systems. The session concludes with a case study that looks at how an embedded systems manufacturer solved a serious noise-cancellation problem by applying an RTOS solution to a voice recognition application.
